SMS Messaging Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to recurring campaign text messages from Phuong Nguyen for Valley Water District 6 (“the campaign,” “we,” or “us”). By choosing to enroll, you agree to the terms of this messaging program. Our SMS Privacy Policy describes our information practices.
1. Who sends messages and what they cover
Phuong Nguyen for Valley Water District 6, FPPC ID #1495167, sponsors the program. Texts may cover campaign and advocacy updates, election information, voter engagement, events, volunteer opportunities, and requests for donations. Content will stay within the categories presented at enrollment.
2. Joining the program
Enroll by affirmatively selecting the SMS consent option on our contact form or using another clearly identified campaign opt-in method. Providing a number, asking a question, donating, or exchanging an individual text does not automatically enroll you. Permission is limited to this campaign and cannot be transferred to another organization.
You must be at least 18 and authorized to receive messages at the number you provide. Any use of automated messaging technology must be disclosed in the applicable signup notice. Agreement to receive texts is optional and is not required to donate, purchase anything, receive services, or send an inquiry.
3. How often we send messages
Frequency depends on campaign activity, up to eight messages per month.
4. Carrier charges
Your mobile plan may charge for messages or data. The campaign does not determine those charges. Ask your wireless provider about your plan’s rates.
5. Leaving the program
Reply STOP whenever you want to unsubscribe. We also accept QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and other clear requests to stop. You can also email the campaign to request removal.
You may receive a single non-promotional confirmation of your unsubscribe request. Recurring program messages will then stop unless you affirmatively enroll again.
6. Getting assistance
Reply HELP to a campaign text, email phuong141@yahoo.com, or use our contact page. Help responses should identify the campaign and provide a support contact.
7. Privacy and mobile information
We do not sell or share mobile information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Vendors may process records on our behalf only to operate and support the program. See the SMS Privacy Policy for details about consent, processing, retention, and your choices.
8. Your phone number and use of the program
Provide an accurate number that you are authorized to use. Unsubscribe before giving up or transferring the number, and tell us if it changes. Do not use replies to send threats, fraud, unlawful material, or malicious content.
9. Delivery and availability
Delivery depends on your device, carrier, and network. Texts can be filtered, delayed, or fail to arrive, and service may not work on every device or in every location. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Changes to the program
We may change, pause, or end the program and post updated terms here. We will provide notice where required. Changes to these terms alone do not expand the scope of your consent; additional permission will be requested when needed. You may unsubscribe at any time.
11. Service limitations
The program is offered subject to availability, without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free delivery. To the extent allowed by law, the campaign is not responsible for losses caused solely by carrier failures, filtering, inaccurate or reassigned numbers supplied by a participant, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These terms do not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
12. Other terms
These terms address campaign SMS messages. If other campaign terms conflict specifically about this messaging program, these SMS terms govern that issue to the extent permitted by law. Separate third-party services may have their own terms.
